Strawberry Moscato Tiramisu

This Strawberry Moscato Tiramisu is the perfect summer no-bake dessert. This summer dessert is made with fresh whipped cream made with mascarpone cheese and heavy cream, fresh strawberries, and ladyfingers that have been coated in Moscato wine.

I have a thing for wine.

Correction, I have a thing for Moscato wine. More specifically, Seven Daughters Moscato.

I do not have a sophisticated taste palate to appreciate most bitter and dry wines. So, I stick with wines that are a bit sweeter and have fruity flavors. That is where I live in the wine tasting areas. With my love for Moscato, it only makes sense to put it in a dessert and this Strawberry Tiramisu is perfect!

I have yet to visit Italy, but I am sure this Italian dessert will not disappoint. Although it is not made with coffee, espresso, or raw eggs, it is still delicious and packed full of flavors that make this recipe the perfect dessert of the spring or the summer.

How to make this Strawberry Tiramisu

It’s really quite simple.

You are going to take a package of ladyfingers and dip them in a bowl of Moscato for a few seconds on each side and lay them in an 8X11 rectangle casserole dish. Next, you are going to make a simple whipped cream using mascarpone cheese and some heavy cream and whip until firm. You are going to add some vanilla extract and powdered sugar to give the whipped cream some flavor.

Then you are going to layer the tiramisu with the Moscato coated ladyfingers, mascarpone whipped cream, strawberry preserves, and top the entire dish off with whipped topping like Cool Whip and fresh strawberries. You can also double the mascarpone whipped cream recipe if you would like to top the tiramisu off with the same whipped cream throughout the entire recipe.

This no-bake dessert is a great dessert to make for those summer parties. You don’t have to turn on the oven one bit and with a few simple ingredients, you will be on your way to enjoying this Easy Strawberry Moscato Tiramisu recipe in no time!

FAQ about Strawberry Tiramisu

Do I have to use wine to make this recipe?

No. In fact, you don’t have to coat the ladyfingers at all if you don’t want to. However, I do recommend adding some flavor to the cookies. You can use strawberry fruit juice or nonalcoholic sparkling wine of your choice.

How long will this recipe stay fresh?

You definitely can make this recipe ahead of your event. I would eat the completed recipe within one day of being made in the fridge. If your event is not for a couple of days, you can store it in the fridge and set it out at room temperature to thaw out, and place the diced strawberries on top before serving.

Do I have to use strawberries to make this Tiramisu recipe?

No. You can use a different berry or fruit that yields a decent amount of fruit juice.

Do I have to use a specific Moscato wine?

No. I recommend Seven Daughter Moscato, but that is my personal favorite. But you can use whatever brand you are comfortable with.

Ingredients

7 oz. Package of Lady Fingers Cookies (you may need half of a package depending on your dish)
1 c. Moscato
8 oz. Mascarpone Cheese
2 c. heavy whipped cream
c. powdered sugar
1 ½ tsp. Vanilla extract
4 oz. strawberry preserves
8 oz. Whipped topping
2 c. fresh strawberries, diced

Pour the Moscato into a shallow bowl. Dip the ladyfinger cookies in the Moscato for a few seconds on each side and line side by side in a shallow 8X9 casserole dish making one layer.
In a large mixing bowl, add the mascarpone cream and, using a handheld or standing mixer, mix the cheese until creamy. On low speed, slowly pour the heavy whipping creaming until mixed into the mascarpone cheese. Add the vanilla extract and powdered sugar and mix until blended. Turn on high and beat until firm peaks, about 3 minutes.
Once you have laid down the first layer of lady fingers, add half of mascarpone whipped cream on top of the lady finger, take 2-3 spoonfuls of strawberry preserves and spread on top of the whipped cream.
Repeat by dipping the remaining lady fingers in the Moscato and add on top of the first layer of mascarpone cheese and strawberry preserves. Spread the rest of the mascarpone cheese whipped cream on top the final layer of ladyfingers. Cover the final layer with strawberry preserves spread across the top.
Add the whipped cream topping on top of the final layer of the strawberry preserves. Finally, top off the chopped strawberries. Place inside the refrigerator until ready to serve.
